Hawai‘i Life Represents …

Amy Frazier

Realtor Broker, Kauaʻi

“I first got into Real Estate for personal reasons, so I could figure it out for myself. Now that I can also help other people with homes here in Kauaʻi, it’s incredibly gratifying.”

Amy enjoyed an enriching 20-year career working for a high-net-worth family trust spanning Hawai‘i, California and New York before becoming a full-time real estate broker. She has a deep connection to Kaua‘i, having been born and raised on the beautiful island and with four generations of family who call it home. Hanalei is where her office, playground, and home converge. She enjoys an active lifestyle with her husband, two boys, and their two adorable french bulldogs – often all found steps from home out on Hanalei Bay.

What does representation mean to you?

When I represent clients, I don't think of myself as a salesperson. I see myself as more of an advisor who is there for them before the transaction even starts, and even well after it has finished. It isn’t about the sale of the property, it’s about finding what they need for their overall goals. A lot of the things I do day-to-day for my clients have nothing to do with that particular transaction. It could be years later that they're thinking of doing a renovation and want me to be there to meet with the designer and contractor to have my opinion. Even if they aren’t thinking of selling–to me, it’s all part of my job.

What does “Hawaiʻi Life” mean to you?

The fact that I can just be myself and be casual with my business is something I really love about living and working here. Being part of a local based company that is aligned, attached, and intertwined with the communities that I serve is important to me. The way Hawaiʻi Life responded so quickly to what happened in Maui was a real testament that as a company, they’re here to support the community.

Where are you located in Hawaiʻi and what makes it a special place?

I currently live in Hanalei on Kauaʻi. I was born and raised on Kauaʻi and have all my family here, so I obviously have a deep love for the island. My love for the island is actually kind of how my career took off–just being a local expert. I originally got into real estate so my husband and I could figure out how to buy our first property. Before long, word spread within friend groups and I became recognized as somewhat of a local Kauaʻi expert, ultimately fueling the growth of my business.
