Hawai‘i Life Represents …

Julia Napua Fetzer

Realtor Salesperson, O‘ahu

“I find immense joy in helping people find homes where they truly want to be. There's something about providing that basic necessity of a roof over someone's head that brings me genuine happiness.”

Julia has been an active agent since 2003. Much of her business is focused on her home neighborhood of Sunset Beach and North Shore. However, growing up in Kailua lends her a windward side local expertise as well. Repeat clients and referrals are Julia's main book of business. Her personal style draws largely on loyalty to the customer, attention to detail and following client direction. Many of Julia's clients also become friends, as her warm, engaging persona is present throughout all phases of the transaction. Regardless of how tough the job is, it gets done with a smile.

What does representation mean to you?

I pride myself on being hands-on throughout every transaction. While I have the support of the team, I personally handle all appointments and remain deeply involved in the entire process. Representation, to me, means being present and accessible at every stage of the transaction, ensuring that clients never feel left without someone to turn to. I am dedicated to representing people directly, ensuring transparency and accessibility throughout. I refuse to ever hand people off to a team of strangers, where I would be disconnected from the process. Hawaiʻi Life represents my core work values to a T – local engagement, community connection, and active involvement in our surroundings. I am proud to be part of a company that shares my commitment to caring for our communities and addressing the issues that impact us all on the island.

What does “Hawai‘i Life” mean to you?

I've been impressed with Hawaiʻi Life since joining in 2012. During my time on Kauai with another agent at an auction, I had the chance to meet Matt Beall (CEO).  We all ended up having lunch together, and I was struck by his casual demeanor. Instead of aggressively selling the brand, he simply shared information about their new office opening in Kahala and invited us to check it out. What impressed me most was their high-tech approach, particularly their lead generation tools and marketing department support. Additionally, I appreciate how Hawai‘i Life is interconnected across the islands. Even if a client is asking for help from a different island, we can work together to seamlessly assist them, rather than abandoning them entirely to someone else.

What is a memorable feeling of accomplishment you have from working with Hawai‘i Life?

Currently, I'm living on the North Shore of O‘ahu. I grew up between Kailua and Southern California, and later attended school in Northern California. When I returned to O‘ahu in the late 80s I found myself drawn to the North Shore. The lifestyle here is something special - it's relaxed, centered around surfing, and all about enjoying the simple things like growing fruit in our backyard. Being within walking distance of the kids' elementary school has been great for getting involved in activities and meeting people. It's always nice to work close to home, especially since I know this side of the island so well.
