Hawai‘i Life Represents …

Tiffany Spencer

Realtor Salesperson, Kaua‘i

“Those seeking Kaua‘i want privacy, they want peace, and they want to give back to the community. They care about preserving the land and that's important to me.”

Born and raised on O‘ahu, Tiffany Spencer has more than 22 years of experience specializing in Hawai‘i luxury real estate. She has been with Hawai‘i Life since it was formed in a tiny office in Ching Young Village in Hanalei. She provides uncompromised, full-service representation that includes everything from general contractors and staging to hiring the best photographers and PR firms. Although her emphasis has always been in luxury real estate, Tiffany finds that helping family and friends buy their first homes are among her most rewarding transactions.

What does the idea of representation mean to you as it relates to real estate in Hawai‘i?

Being a real estate agent is a little different for me. I was born and raised in Hawai‘i and I’m part Hawaiian. I feel a responsibility to this island, and sometimes that doesn't work really well because I sell luxury real estate. Finding a balance is very important to me.

Representation is helping people make the right decision, providing all the information, and doing it with integrity. I want to make sure I represent the best buyers and sellers who have the best interest of the community in mind. I worked with a seller recently who wanted to sell to a local family. My seller didn't take the highest and best offer, he took the offer from a local family.

What does “Hawai‘i Life” mean to you?

I wouldn't trade my Hawai‘i life for anything in the world. I get to surf in the morning for an hour then start my work day. There’s nowhere else in the world where I can do that. If I don't surf, it's yoga. My Hawai‘i life is balanced. I spend the majority of my time outside.

What is a memorable feeling of accomplishment you have from working with Hawai‘i Life?

One of my most rewarding experiences just happened yesterday while representing a seller. They wanted to take less money to help out a local family versus more money from an investor. When I can represent people like that, it makes my heart happy.

That and helping friends and family get into homes has been very rewarding. Typically those transactions are much smaller but they provide a different level of satisfaction.
